BHARAT DARSHAN
Bharat Darshan is a celebration of the diversity of India. It is held in the week of Republic Day with each state putting up a display of about 15-20 mins. The aim is to represent the traditions and cultures of different states through a variety of traditional dance forms. This event sees the maximum participation from first years. If you don’t dance or suffer from stage fear, this is the time to put aside all your fears and apprehensions.
In the weeks before Bharat Darshan, you will see the SAC and Pavilion filled with students practising and sharpening their acts for the event. Some states even hold auditions to select people for their dances. All the fuss around this event is because of the prestige attached with your own state and the desire to be the best amongst everyone out there. The Competition is fierce and everyone tries to give it their best shot!
It is also a great way to bond with seniors and batchmates from your region. Do participate as the late night practises and rehearsals will be some of the most memorable moments of your first year.
